Integrated Report 2023
We believe that a better future for everyone demands more and more quality food, that is the reason we work every year to develop an increasingly efficient, innovative and sustainable business model. Therefore, we are guided by the purpose of contributing to a better life for people, offering quality food, increasingly tasty and practical, to people all over the world, from farm to table.
As part of our transparent and sustainable management, we present the BRF 2022 Integrated Report that adopts the methodologies of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and IFRS Foundation, in addition to following the indicators of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and to contemplate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. For the first time, we carried out the double materiality process to guide our reporting, bringing material risks and opportunities, both from a financial and impact point of view, that is, relevant issues or information from an environmental and social point of view, which may have financial consequences for the present or future of organizations.
We disclose through these international references all the specific performance content associated with each relevant aspect of the business, as well as further demonstrate our corporate governance practices.
We also present the food sector indicators, our resource allocation, our business model, and our view of capitals (financial, intellectual, human, social, natural, and manufactured). We are continuously making progress in demonstrating how each socio-environmental theme relates to the risks and opportunities we have mapped for the business, in addition to being balanced with the financial and operational results. The indicators presented describe the period from January 1 to December 31, 2022, for both financial and non-financial data.
